Dr. Brewer Office Hours During ASHP Mid-Year PPS and Showcase

Greetings ACPHS students, residents and alumni at the ASHP MCM,

If we have not formally met, my name is Dr. Brewer.

I am faculty and Director of Professional Affairs at ACPHS. I graduated in 1998, completed a general residency (PGY1) and a specialty in Primary Care (PGY2). I have directed several residency programs over the years and am here to help you navigate ASHP. We can discuss any topic to take the steps you need to successfully land the residency or fellowship of your dreams. Hopefully you have already completed the electives or attended the meetings on campus and discussed your CV and interview skills with the Center for Student Success or your advisor to prepare.  

However, we all know that feeling, when it is game time and you have one last question. I will post Zoom office hours starting Sunday Dec 6 through Wed Dec 9th for any P4 students with questions. I will have a waiting room so be patient. The first session will be 8-9am and the second will be in the middle of the day. I understand PPS will be 10-6 this year. Also, anyone who has questions for the Showcase could pop in as well. This time also extends to all of our Alumni and current residents looking for positions and PGY2s. Depending on the number of ACPHS folks in the room, each seeker will have 5-15 minutes with me to review what you have and answer any question that is on your mind. Bring your CV, your 3 strengths, what you are looking for and a brief blurb (elevator Speech) that describes who you are and the transferrable skills you are bringing to your new job.
