Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will offer up to 20 scholarships for students enrolled in its Bachelor’s program in Public Health for the 2017-18 academic year.
Awards will range from partial to full tuition scholarships for qualified students.
All new students enrolling in the Public Health program for fall 2017 or current Public Health students enrolled in the program as of February 1, 2017 will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Scholarships will be renewed for a maximum of three years while the student continues enrollment in the Public Health program.
Interested students must complete a scholarship application in addition to the standard College application. A committee composed of admissions counselors and faculty will evaluate the student’s application and credentials. Students recommended by the committee will be invited to campus for an in-person interview. Decisions on scholarship awards will be made following the interview.
The deadline to apply for early decision and early action applicants is December 1, 2016. Regular decision applicants must apply by February 1, 2017.
The ACPHS Public Health program was announced in spring 2016. The program has been designed to prepare students for in-demand positions such as Community Health Educator, Community Health Worker, Public Health Data Analyst, Biostatistical Data Technician, and Health Communications Specialist. Students are equally well prepared for graduate or advanced training in public health, health administration, data analytics, and health services research.
