What is the Students First Fund?

You might have heard about the Students First Fund from a recent mailing or an email about our October 3rd Giving Day. The Students First Fund, the College’s annual fund, provides more than $300,000 in support of the College’s operating budget each year. 

The Students First Fund is your investment in ACPHS today. It’s a fund for the ACPHS community that benefits every student. Anyone and everyone can give to the Students First Fund.

Students First Fund gifts are unrestricted. This gives the College the freedom to put them where they are most needed when we receive them. Donations can be spent as they come in, making an immediate difference in the lives of ACPHS students. 

Because the Students First Fund can be spent immediately, donations to this fund enable the College to be flexible and responsive to emerging opportunities and challenges. 

The Students First Fund is an important complement to our endowment, which is invested for the long term and provides a stable source of income to fund College programs. It also complements the priorities of the Discovery for Life campaign, which are a part of the College’s evolving plans to meet the challenges of educating future health care leaders. 

There are restricted portions of the endowment which have been designated for memorial scholarships or other key projects.
