News from the Alumni Council
ACPHS has long enjoyed the support of our dedicated alumni who have served as preceptors to students and who have organized events, founded scholarships and supported College initiatives over the years. We are grateful for the time, talent and treasure that alumni have given to the College.
The Alumni Council was revitalized in 2018 by a small group of dedicated alumni led by Amar Patel and Sam Enbawe. Between 2018 and 2020, we held events, mentored students and made networking connections that helped dozens of alumni reconnect. The pandemic made it difficult for us to continue that momentum because so many of our alumni have been tirelessly working to care for their patients and communities for the past two years. The pandemic has shown us the importance of community and the vital role that our alumni in every profession play in supporting community health.
Moving forward, we’re planning several Alumni Council events and activities this year. Activities and events for alumni will be organized by the staff of the Office of Institutional Advancement, but there are all sorts of ways both large and small for alumni to get involved in the Alumni Council that will be meaningful to you (we hope!) and helpful to our students and your classmates.
Want to start small? We need your help connecting with your classmates (we’re missing email addresses for a good chunk of folks who graduated after 2010). Make sure your friends are getting our emails—if not, send them this link.
Help us celebrate your peers and classmates for alumni awards! We will be launching an alumni awards program this spring.
Join us for an in-person event. We’re hosting events throughout the spring and into the summer that bring together alumni and students. Check your email for details or email us at alumni@acphs.edu.
