As Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences students prepare for the start of classes next week, its Office of Residence Life, in conjunction with the Albany Fire Department, will conduct a pod “mock burn.”
There are over 2,000 residence hall fires each year, according to the National Fire Prevention Association. With increased awareness and some simple common-sense tips, students can stay safe and have a successful school year.
The demonstration will provide a powerful visual to educate its newest residential students about residence halls fire safety.
