ACPHS NAMES NEW BOARD OF TRUSTEES

November 13, 2023

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) announces its newest members to its Board of Trustees. The esteemed roster of leaders from the pharmaceutical, health sciences, and business fields support the College in its mission to educate the next generation of leaders to improve the health of society. The changes to the Board of Trustees were approved at its fall meeting on October 19, 2023.

Walter Borisenok was appointed chairperson, succeeding Marion Morton ’84 RPh, MBA, who became chair of the board of trustees in 2017. Morton has served on the board since 2011. She was one of the lead donors in the Library renovation in 2012 and the Library Services Center bears her name. In addition, she established the Marion T. Morton ’84 scholarship fund in 2019.

An ardent ACPHS supporter and business owner, Borisenok oversees the Borisenok Family Foundation along with his wife, Michelle. The foundation funded an important laboratory and scholarship at ACPHS’ Stack Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training (CBET). He is a graduate of SUNY at Plattsburgh in microbiology, and in 2021, ACPHS awarded him a Doctor of Humane Letters.

“This may be my first year as board chairperson, but I have been committed to this College for many years. I am grateful for all of the groundwork Marion established during her tenure as we plot the course for the future,” said Borisenok. “I look forward to working alongside President Tofade and the members of the Board of Trustees to achieve our mission of educating the next generation of leaders to improve the health of our society.”
