ALBANY, NY – Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is hosting a screening and panel discussion of the documentary Vaccination from the Misinformation Virus that debunks polarizing rhetoric by explaining why vaccines are safe, crucial to community health and save millions of lives annually.
This one-hour documentary includes infectious disease experts, epidemiologists, pharmacists, physicians, and various academics with expertise in misinformation as well as health disparities.
“We started this program in 2017, after a conversation with infectious disease pediatrician, Dr. Walter Dehority and in conjunction with the Immunization Practitioners Advisory Committee so we’ve been in research over three years before we started filming,” explains panelist Chris Schueler, producer/director of the documentary.
“This documentary is honest scientific information about all vaccines and how crucial they are to community health,” said panelist RADM (ret) Pamela Schweitzer, PharmD, a former Assistant U.S. Surgeon General, Chief Pharmacist Officer, and ACPHS board member.
