John Denio has been plugging holes for almost 40 years.
It started with a coaching gig at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences — Denio's first job out of Union College at the age of 22 when most of the college's upperclassmen were older than him. The Troy native had a degree in civil engineering and planned to take a year off, he said.
But one year quickly turned into two, and Denio was asked to start teaching calculus and economics at a pharmacy college.
