The 2024 Leadership Recognition Banquet was a time to acknowledge accomplishments and celebrate classmates, faculty and staff. The Student Government Association, in conjunction with the Office of Student Engagement and Wellness, gave out 23 awards at the April 18 event at Normanside in suburban Delmar. The evening was filled with good food, friendly faces – and lots of love and support.

OSEW also presented a new award this year: the OSEW Panther Pride Five. This award went to five students who have helped advance OSEW’s mission and goals, which include developing leadership, promoting inclusive opportunities and environments, celebrating unique interests and individuals, and maintaining a student-centered focus. Students receiving this award involved themselves in the many opportunities, including serving as orientation leaders, resident assistants, peer mentors and student ambassadors. The students have brought success to their campus clubs and professional organizations, and have advocated on behalf of others as SGA Executive Board and Senate representatives. And overall, these students have created paths for others to follow:
