Health Data Science Program Details
The MS in Health Data Science is a 33-credit, one-year program designed to give you real-world, hands-on experience in a rapidly growing field. You’ll learn how to apply data analytics in diverse health-care settings—from hospitals and public health agencies to insurance companies, managed-care organizations and policy think tanks.
Coursework focuses on public health research, statistical methods and how data can be used to improve patient care, public health and business outcomes.
To round out your experience, you’ll choose between a capstone project or an internship in a corporate or clinical setting. Internship opportunities may include quality monitoring organizations, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, insurance providers, and state or local public health departments.
