Degree Requirements & Prerequisite Coursework:
BS or BA degree from an accredited institution conferred prior to enrollment at ACPHS with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Completion of appropriate prerequisite courses:
- General Biology I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- General Chemistry I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Organic Chemistry I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Biochemistry (lecture)/3 credits
- Statistics/3 credits
- Microbiology (lecture)/3 credits*
*Required for spring applicants. Fall applicants register for Clinical Microbiology I as their bioselective if the course has not previously been completed
The following courses are required for Pre-med:
- Physics (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Behavioral Science/3 credits
- Calculus I (recommended)/3 credits
- English/Literature (recommended)/3 credits

English Proficiency: We recommend that students earn a 6.5 IELTS score, an 84 TOEFL score, or a 110 Duolingo score to demonstrate English language proficiency, but students are still able to apply if they have received a lower score.
This requirement may be waived for applicants who are a US Citizen/US Permanent Resident, are a Canadian citizen, whose native or first-language was English, or who have a minimum of four years of coursework in which English was the primary language of instruction.
