NEW BOARD TRUSTEE AND GOLD ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS NAMED

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) announces a new member to its Board of Trustees and changes to its Gold Advisory Board. 

Shane McGann ’13, PharmD, RPh joins the ACPHS Board of Trustees, an esteemed roster of leaders from the pharmaceutical, health sciences, and business fields supporting the College in its mission to educate the next generation of leaders to improve the health of society.

McGann is currently Vice President, Head of Regulatory Affairs at Mythic Therapeutics, a Waltham, Massachusetts-based company that develops antibody-drug conjugates (ADC). During his career, he has led and overseen the regulatory strategy for numerous preclinical and clinical drug development programs, including two approved targeted oncology therapies. McGann completed a post-doctoral Regulatory Affairs Fellowship at Genzyme, in conjunction with MCPHS University where he was adjunct faculty. He received his PharmD from ACPHS.

Gold Advisory Board

The Gold Advisory Board provides advisement to the College’s Board of Trustees and President on the student experience and the strategic direction of the College. It consists of alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years.

Current board member, Ryan P. Guilaran ’18, PharmD, has been appointed chair of the Gold Advisory Board. An ACPHS Vermont graduate, Guilaran worked as a pharmacy manager at CVS before transitioning to the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) in April 2021. At DOCCS, Ryan serves as pharmacy supervisor providing oversight for the MAT Program throughout NYS.

In addition, five new members, Nicolas James ’20 PharmD, MBA; Christina Lombardi '17 PharmD; Jeff MacDonald '19 PharmD; Rachael Spina ’17 BS, JD; and Rachel Wurth ’19 BS/MS have joined replacing outgoing members Tesh Satram, Dave Denio, Megan Nadler, Aniwaa Owusu Obeng, and Molly Trayah.
