Library grant funds support for those seeking employment

Thanks to a grant of $2,980 and assistance from several area sectors, the East Greenbush Community Library has put together new programming to assist people looking for work. The grant came from the New York State Division of Labor Development through the Upper Hudson Library System.
“The theme of the grant is workforce development at libraries,” said Elizabeth Putnam, adult services reference librarian in East Greenbush. “We plan to create an education and employment resource center in a room at the library. We’ll offer classes and training.”
