Support That Moves With You: Resources for Commuter Students

As a commuter student, you’re a vital part of the ACPHS community. We’re here to help you stay connected and succeed—with the resources, support and info you need to make your campus experience smooth and rewarding.

Study Spaces for Commuter Students

In addition to the Library, commuter students can take advantage of several convenient study and lounge spaces across campus designed for both quiet focus and relaxation between classes.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Suite

Located on the third floor of the Library Building, this space offers ample room for studying and student meetings.

  • Katzman Lounge

This space is located on the second floor of the Student Center and is connected to the ACPHS Dining Hall.

  • Panthers Den

Located in the Student Center, this space is an event, lounge and study space for ACPHS students.

  • Princeton Classrooms (PCL Rooms)

Located on the Princeton side of the 84 Holland Avenue building. These spaces offer students spaces to study both independently and in groups.

  • Third floor of the Library

The third floor of the library building offers three small rooms with tables and chairs that fit three to four people and a larger community-style study space. Library Room 308 is also available to students.

Weather-Related Closures and Delays: What to Expect

ACPHS Campus in Winter months

When inclement weather affects campus operations—whether it’s a delayed opening, early closing or full-day closure—ACPHS will keep you in the loop.

  • Email Alerts: Notifications will be sent to your ACPHS email and through SendWordNow.
  • Website Updates: Check www.acphs.edu for the latest updates right on the homepage.
  • Media Announcements: Local TV and radio stations will be informed of any changes.

If weather conditions develop overnight or early in the morning, we aim to communicate any schedule changes as soon as possible.

If the College closes for the day, all campus offices and facilities will be closed, except:

  • Gozzo Student Center and College-owned residence halls (remain open)
  • Princeton classrooms (remain open)
  • UHA Public Safety (operational 24/7)
  • Chartwells Dining Services (runs on a weekend/holiday schedule)

Traveling in bad weather is a personal decision. Conditions vary by location, so make choices based on your own safety and circumstances.
