It’s the spring semester! As we welcome back our students and the entire campus community, we have a vibrant schedule of events slated for the months ahead.

And as we rapidly approach the exciting merger with Russell Sage College, merger transition teams continue to collaborate daily to chart a bold new chapter for ACPHS. More events will be forthcoming in the spring semester, and the College remains committed to sharing regular progress updates with everyone in the campus community.

Now, let’s take a 30,000-foot look at Spring 2026. 

January

Interested in becoming an RA? You’ll have one last chance to apply to be a resident assistant on January 15 at 11 am in the Rite Aid Lounge.

Kick off the spring semester at ACPHS by getting involved! Stop by the Spring Involvement Fair on Thursday, January 15 from 5:30 pm – 7 pm in the gym. Discover what opportunities exist among the 55-plus clubs and organizations on campus.

Watch some outstanding performances and get some bake sale goodies with all proceeds going to MSF Doctors Without Borders at the Friday, January 16 Talent Show happening from from 3-4:30 pm in the gym.

On January 27 from 11 am – noon, join President Tofade for a student Town Hall in SC202. She’ll provide an update for the new semester. Bring questions!

Be part of supporting the Fall 2026 incoming class as an orientation leader. To learn more, OSEL will host three informational meetings at 11 am on Jan 20 and at 6 pm on Jan 28, as well as at 11 am on February 5. All sessions will be held in SC202.

February

From 11 am – noon on Tuesday, February 17, the AAPI Alliance will host a Lunar New Year celebration in the Gozzo atrium. This is the Year of the Horse, specifically the Fire Horse which is associated with energy, passion, independence, and bold action, as the Fire element amplifies the Horse’s natural traits, bringing enthusiasm and a desire for change.

March 2026

In March, the College will introduce our newly accepted students to our campus community at the first of two ACPHS Accepted Students Days on Saturday, March 21 at 11 am in the gym and Gozzo Center.

Students finishing their coursework this semester can look forward to the All the Way Dance on March 28.

April 2026

The Third Year/P1 Halfway There Dance (that’s halfway for students in a six-year program) takes place on April 3.

National Public Health Week will be recognized April 7-13.

The annual research symposium will be held on April 16 and 17 in the Holland Building.

ACPHS’ Dance Team presents its Annual Dance Recital on Friday, April 17. 

On Saturday, April 18, ACPHS will host its second Accepted Students Day.

On Sunday, April 19, Rho Chi/PLS Induction Ceremony.

From April 19 to 25, we’ll celebrate National Medical Laboratory Professional Week. As part of that recognition, we’ll host the Clinical Laboratory Science and Cytotechnology & Molecular Cytology White Coat Ceremony on April 19.

Join us on April 21, for our annual Lobby Day advocacy efforts at the NYS Capital.

The event everyone waits for – Springfest– will happen on April 24 out on the campus green.

May 2026

May brings us Mental Health Awareness Month, where we can honor those pursuing psychology and forensic psychology.

Then beginning May 6 through 12, we’ll celebrate National Nurses Week.

The semester concludes with the Student Recognition and Awards Ceremony on May 14 and Commencement on May 16, to be held at Albany Capital Center. Follow our  commencement web page at www.acphs.edu/commencement for all of the details.
