COLLEGE TO HOST FORUM ON OPIOID EPIDEMIC

May 31, 2016 - Albany, NY - Director of National Drug Control Policy Michael Botticelli will participate in a Community Forum held on Thursday, June 2 at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and hosted by U.S. Representative Paul Tonko.

This event is one of a series of forums across the country to continue the conversation that President Obama began in West Virginia in October, where he announced public and private sector efforts to address the opioid overdose epidemic.  

Director Botticelli, Representative Tonko and other leaders will also hold a press conference prior to the Community Forum (see details below) on the need for additional funding for prevention, treatment, and recovery services to address the opioid epidemic.
