ACPHS Stack Family Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training (CBET) and Albany Medical College to Host Pitch Night, Thursday, May 30
Culminating an eight-week BioInnovation Bootcamp, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ Stack Family Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training (CBET) and Albany Medical College's Office of Translational Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer (OTR) will host a pitch night on Thursday, May 30 from 6 – 8:30 pm for its first regional cohort of biomedical entrepreneurs. The event will be held at the Gozzo Student Center on the ACPHS campus at 106 New Scotland Avenue in Albany.
Participants are entrepreneurs, clinicians, faculty, postdocs, and students developing products, solutions, and technologies in the medical and life sciences space. Each will pitch their innovation to a panel of judges with awards of $25,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to further commercialize their innovations.
The eight-week educational program which launched in early April, supports innovators through the commercialization and translation processes and provides course content in a variety of formats, including seminar-style presentations from content experts, discussions with successful regional entrepreneurs and innovators, and group and individual hands-on activities. It covered many different aspects of product development and commercialization, focusing on biomedical devices and pharmaceuticals and offering a great opportunity to network with other innovators and field experts.
