We're excited for you to join the ACPHS close-knit community!

The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ orientation program welcomes new students and their families into the ACPHS community and supports their transition to college life. Through our academic and social orientation programming, students can explore and engage with the ACPHS community while preparing for their journey as future leaders in improving the health of our society.

What to expect during our Fall 2024 Orientation Program

Our four-day orientation program provides new students with opportunities to meet peers, prepare for academic success and connect with key resources that will aid in their success at ACPHS, all while having fun! Our major themes for each day are detailed below.

• Day 3 | Building Community On Campus 

• Day 4 | Peer Connections and Making Space for Wellness

Important Dates

Summer Kick Start | Friday, July 26, 2024

• This summer event provides all incoming first year and undergraduate transfer students the chance to kick start their experience at ACPHS. Members of our campus community will be available to connect and provide you with useful information as you prepare for your transition to campus this fall. An official schedule for Summer Kick Start 2024 will be posted in May. Attendance at this event is strongly encouraged for all incoming students.

New Student Move In | Thursday, August 22, 2024

• New Student move in is for all incoming first year and undergraduate transfer students. Please check back in June for more information about Fall 2023 New Student Move In. 

New Student Orientation | Thursday, August 22 – Sunday, August 25, 2024 

• Our new student orientation program is required for all incoming first year and undergraduate transfer students. The finalized Fall 2024 Orientation schedule will be posted in June. 

First Day of Classes | Monday, August 26, 2024 

Welcome Week 2024 | Monday, August 26, 2024 – Sunday, September 1, 2024

• From signature events campus like the Fall Student Engagement Fair to fun pop ups including food trucks and DIYs, Welcome Week 2024 is sure to kick off your semester in the best way!
