Panthers Get in the Engagement Game

Panthers are ready to get involved and be engaged in 2024-25. More than 300 students, from every undergraduate and graduate degree program, came out Thursday night to learn about the 54 clubs and organizations they could join.

A new class of students arrived on the ACPHS campus recently, greeted by resident advisors, volunteer orientation leaders, and members of the ACPHS community with high energy and enthusiasm as they moved into their new homes-away-from-home.

Moving In 2024

New Panthers moved on to campus on Thursday, Aug. 22. They got a warm welcome and got to know each other with some icebreakers on the campus green. The weather contributed to a perfect welcome party.

Kick Start 2024

Incoming Panthers got acquainted with campus and each other on July 26, 2024 as ACPHS held its Kick Start event in advance of the upcoming academic year.

Senior Week 2024

The annual lead-up to Commencement 2024 included all manner of ways to rejoice, rest and re-set. Graduating students enjoyed food trucks, bouncy houses, a brunch, a trip to alumni-owned Active Ingredient Brewing Co. in Malta and a boat cruise.

Nearly 240 undergraduate, graduate and PharmD students crossed the stage today at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ 144th Commencement at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Graduates-to-be Dazzle at Pre-Commencement Celebration

Research presentations at national conferences and articles in peer-reviewed publications. Work that set the foundation to improve Albany’s schools, as well as health access on the ACPHS campus. Acceptance into a coveted, competitive eight-year, expenses-paid MD-PhD program. Those were among the impressive student – yes, student – accomplishments recited at the 2024 ACPHS Graduation Celebration and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 9.

Behind-the-Scenes Star Energized by Award

As assistant director of administrative operations, Kristen Ruby usually works behind the scenes. She does a lot back there. Ruby handles the vital stuff you cannot do without but only notice when it’s not functioning properly – health insurance, parking permits, public safety, the alert system when snow causes class cancellations and the like. She has been a staff member at ACPHS for nine years, but her workload greatly increased a year ago, with the departure of two other veteran staff members. Ruby has taken it all in characteristic stride.
