Members of the extended campus community and surrounding business community gathered on Wednesday, June 3 to honor the service of President Toyin Tofade. A reception was hosted in the Gozzo Center’s Panther’s Den.
Attendees mingled while enjoying light refreshments and delicious desserts. A short program followed, emceed by Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Diane O’Connor.

Board of Trustee, Hugh Johnson; Russell Sage College President, Matthew Shaftel; and the President’s husband, Dr. Alfred Tofade, shared moving remarks about the President’s impact on the ACPHS community.


Marion Morton, former Board of Trustee Chair, presented President Tofade with a commemorative plaque that read:

A visibly moved President Tofade, approached the podium to express her gratitude for all in attendance. She also reflected on her four-year journey and shared her appreciation for the opportunity to serve the ACPHS community.
“As we reflect on the past four years, I’m extremely proud of what we’ve built together at ACPHS,” she said. “It has been my honor to serve the ACPHS community as the 10th president during an era of unprecedented growth and evolution.”
President Tofade will end her service to ACPHS on June 29, 2026 and become ACPHS President Emeritus, effective July 1, 2026.
