The Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Competition, hosted annually by the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Foundation, is a team-based competition designed to give student pharmacists hands-on experience with formulary review and management.

Teams work together to prepare for, and present to, a mock P&T Committee. This year’s study drug was Cobenfy, indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults.

The annual competition helps students develop skills in clinical evidence evaluation, pharmacoeconomics, teamwork and presenting professionally – integral skills needed across pharmacy practice settings.

Second place team members included P2 Sylvia Huang, P4 Daniel Le, P4 Wendy Jung and P2 Eric Ng.
