Unsolicited, Dr. Sano organized a Christmas gift drive that matched students, friends and her own family members with nursing home residents in need.

Our Lady of Mercy Executive Director Sandy Sullivan-Smith stated, “Without Ugene’s efforts, many nursing home residents would have had very little for Christmas.”

ACPHS students from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the Network for Collaborative Oncology Development & Advancement (NCODA) joined in to help raise funds for the gifts and participated in a group gift-wrapping event.

Thank you to Dr. Sano and our Panthers who helped make this holiday a memorable one for the residents of Our Lady of Mercy.
