Research Symposium: See the Science. Meet the Minds

Each year, the ACPHS Research Symposium celebrates the original research conducted by our students across a wide range of disciplines. This two-day signature event is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their work to classmates, faculty and leaders across the health-sciences industry.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Explore an interactive display of student research posters
  • Attend podium presentations led by students and faculty
  • Hear from guest speakers at the forefront of their fields
  • Connect with the vibrant ACPHS research community

The poster session mirrors the format of a professional academic conference. It features a wide range of student research and provides the opportunity to present through both posters and oral presentations. The next day, faculty take the spotlight—sharing their current research in longer-format talks that allow for deeper discussion and insight into their work. Whether you’re attending virtually or exploring the poster session on campus, you’ll experience the in-depth, innovative student research happening at ACPHS.

FAQs Regarding Preparing for the Poster Session

Want to present your research at the symposium? Here’s everything you need to know

We have 9 electronic screens available to supplement the boards on which you would attach your poster. If you would like to present your poster digitally, be sure to select this in the form.

You should discuss this with your mentor to see if the department is able to pay or if there are other available funds. In some cases, students pay for their own posters. Costs are generally around $80-$90.

The option to present on one of the electronic screens is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are unable to pay for your poster to be printed, you should discuss this with your mentor.
