Board of Trustees Adds Two New Members

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences announces two new members to its Board of Trustees. Rose Zobel Lang ’69, RPh and Karen M. Carpenter, MS were approved as new members of the ACPHS Board of Trustees at the spring meeting.

The esteemed roster of leaders from the pharmaceutical, health sciences, and business fields support the College in its mission to educate the next generation of leaders to improve the health of society.

“We are so pleased to welcome Rose and Karen to the board,” said Walt Borisenok, the Board’s Chair. “Their careers and perspectives in both pharmacy and health care will be an important asset to the Board’s work and contributions.”

Rose Zobel Lang ’69, RPh

Lang, a pharmacy industry veteran, holds more than 40 years of experience in retail, independent and hospital settings, and 26 years in managed career. She currently serves as a Parkinson Foundation Ambassador and Regional Advisor for Southeast Florida, promoting hospital care initiatives, community outreach, and the roll-out of online continual education learning for RPh and healthcare professionals.

Karen M. Carpenter, MS

Carpenter has been a government and organizational leader for more than 30 years, having held positions for five governors, and as a chief executive officer for more than 20 years. She currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Vanderheyden Inc., a child welfare organization serving over 700 individuals and families each day in educational, residential and community-based programs.
