campus Safety

As an institution committed to the advancement of health care, the College places a top priority on the health and safety of our students. Our tight-knit community provides a safe campus where students have easy access to a variety of resources and services designed to ensure their overall well-being.

This includes public safety services provided by UHA Public Safety (available 24/7/365) and a blue-light security system throughout both campuses.

Student housing is kept secure through the appointment of Resident Life Assistants in each building. The perimeter doors in all residence halls are locked 24 hours a day and access may be gained through use of access cards that are distributed to resident students.

counseling, wellness & student success

Counseling and wellness appointments are scheduled throughout each semester to help students manage challenges both inside and outside the classroom.

In Albany, a Student Health Center within walking distance from the campus is open Monday - Friday. Practitioners are available 24 hours a day to schedule an appointment.

Academic support is also widely available through class advisors, peer mentors & tutors, the Science Assistance Center and the Writing Center.
