REGISTRATION DEADLINE JANUARY 23, 2021
Program Information:
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development is very pleased to announce our offering of APhA’s Pharmacy-based Immunization Delivery Certificate Training Program.
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science is a licensed partner with APhA in providing the Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate Training Program. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent authorization for COVID vaccines, in conjunction with the Executive Order from the governor for pharmacist immunizers, we will provide the required 8-hour live component in a virtual, on-line format. Since group training is not allowed, participants will be required to find a NYS immunization certified pharmacist to observe and document validation of their injection technique and they will also need a second person, such as a housemate, friend, significant other to serve as the “human arm”. Prior to attending the 8-hour live program, participants must successfully complete the 12-hour self-study. Therefore we will be offering 3 dates for virtual training.
Shortly after you’ve registered, information to start the home study module will be forwarded.
