SUMMARY:Pharmacy Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:The Pre-Collegiate Pharmacy Summer Camp Experience is an exciting and educational program designed for students interested in exploring the field of pharmacy. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience\, learn about the science behind pharmaceuticals\, and understand the vital role pharmacists play in healthcare. Participants will engage in various activities\, including laboratory activities\, pharmacy simulations and guest lectures from professionals in a variety of specialty areas. You will also have the chance to learn about drug development\, medication management\, patient care\, and the ethical considerations involved in the profession. The camp is perfect for high school or rising college students who are passionate about science\, healthcare\, and making a difference in people’s lives through medicine. There may be a field trip to a local pharmacy or hospital. \nDrop off: 8:30am to 9:00 am\nProgramming: 9 am to 3:30 pm\nPick up: 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm \nCost: $400\, limited number of partial scholarships available (if yes to questions in registration link below\, cost is $100) \nMeals not included\, please back and a lunch and snack. \nAge Range: Rising high school first years – rising college first years (14 – 18)
