Clubs & Organizations


The following is a list of student clubs, fraternities, and professional organizations available to students on the Vermont Campus:

College Against Cancer (CAC) - CAC organizes activities related to cancer advocacy, education, and fundraising. Annual highlights include participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held in Burlington and partnering with nearby University of Vermont for their Relay for Life event.

Integrative Medicine Club (IMC) - This club provides the opportunity for students to develop their knowledge of the field of Integrative Medicine. Student members invite external practitioners and experts to speak on campus, hold yoga workshops, and organize hands-on lab practice with herbal products.

Outdoor and Sports Club - If ever a campus was to have an Outdoors Club, this is surely the place! Members explore all the environmental riches that Vermont has to offer. Best of all, members of the club get special discounted tickets, rentals, and lessons at the Smugglers Notch ski resort.

Student Government Association (SGA-VT) - Join student government to represent your class and your campus on issues impacting students at the College.


Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) – Students are selected for membership by this national society on the basis of their service and leadership in the advancement of pharmacy.

Rho Chi – After six semesters, pharmacy students in the top fifth of their class with an 85 average of better are eligible for membership in this prestigious national honor society.


American Pharmacist Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) - One of the largest and most active groups on campus, APhA-ASP members organize a number of health related activities in the community, including diabetes clinics, blood pressure screenings, and other health related services.

Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) - This student chapter of IPhO is based at the Vermont Campus (with a liaison for the Albany Campus). It is geared towards Pharm.D. students who have an interest in a career in the pharmaceutical industry. More information about the national organization can be found at

Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) - SNPhA is an educational service association dedicated to the pharmacy profession and serving the underserved. It is the student affiliate of the National Pharmaceutical Association. SNPhA plans, organizes, coordinates, and executes programs geared toward the improvement of the health, educational, and social environment of minority communities.

Student Society of Health System Pharmacists (SSHP) - An affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the mission of this group is to provide information to students about career directions in, and credentials needed for, pharmacy practice in environments such as hospitals, health maintenance organizations, and long-term care facilities.

Vermont Pharmacist Association (VPA) - The student chapter of this state group helps advocate for patients and the profession of pharmacy, in addition to disseminating health information in the community via clinics and presentations.
