Degree Requirement & Prerequisite Coursework
- B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited institution conferred prior to enrollment at ACPHS
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Completion of appropriate prerequisite courses:
- General Biology I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- General Chemistry I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Organic Chemistry I & II (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Biochemistry (lecture)/3 credits
- Statistics/3 credits
- Microbiology (lecture)/3 credits
- *required for spring applicants
- *fall applicants register for Clinical Microbiology I as their bioselective if course has not previously been completed
- The following courses are required for Premed:
- Physics (lecture + lab)/8 credits
- Behavioral Science/3 credits
- Calculus I (recommended)/3 credits
- English/Literature (recommended)/3 credits
Application Materials & GRE/MCAT Results
- Completed and officially submitted ACPHS application containing:
- Names and contact information of two faculty or professional references
- Statement of purpose describing why you wish to pursue graduate studies at ACPHS, your specific interest in the M.S. Biomedical Sciences program, your career goals, and what motivates you to pursue a career in medicine
- Current resume or curriculum vitae (CV)
- Official transcripts can be sent directly to ACPHS using Parchment, or National Student Clearinghouse. Otherwise, admissions@acphs.edu should be listed as the recipient if another delivery service is being used. Official transcripts may also be mailed to the following address:

- Official GRE (general test) OR MCAT scores
- GRE results should be sent directly to ACPHS (code 2013) by ETS.
- MCAT score reports including verification code and AAMC ID should be sent to admissions@acphs.edu.
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- An official WES or ECE course-by-course evaluation for coursework completed outside of the United States is required and should be submitted electronically to ACPHS.
- Official Duolingo (minimum score of 110), TOEFL (minimum score of 84), or IELTS (minimum score of 7) scores are required as demonstration of English language proficiency. This requirement may be waived for applicants who have been studying in the United States for at least two years prior to the time of application.
