Addiction Speaker Mixes Reality with Humor

Mark Lundholm, a popular comedian and motivational speaker who has been featured on ABC, Comedy Central, and Showtime brought his unique brand of humor to the College on Tuesday, September 9, as part of a special event co-hosted by the College and the Addictions Care Center of Albany.

Following the talk, ACPHS held a continuing education program for pharmacists on the subject of addiction and psychostimulants. The night ended with a presentation from the ACPHS student chapter of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA-ASP), which discussed medication safety and steps that can be taken to combat the misuse and abuse of prescription drugs.

September is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month and, as a tribute to this theme, the Addictions Care Center of Albany has invited Mark to perform a series of talks to generate community support and bring awareness to New York’s 2013 Recovery Month theme “Together On Pathways to Wellness.”

Lundholm's other area appearances will include:

Wood, and the New York State Bar Association Lawyer’s Assistance Program.
