Assistant Director of Admissions

Founded in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is a private, independent institution with academic programs and research activities spanning the full spectrum of pharmacy, health sciences and arts and sciences. ACPHS students pursue a wide range of career pathways in health related fields through degree programs in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical technology, and health and human sciences. More than 1,700 students are enrolled at the College’s main campus located in the heart of the Capital District in Albany, New York, and approximately 240 students are currently enrolled at the satellite campus in Colchester, Vermont.


Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences ( is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions. Interested candidates should have a minimum of three to five years of recruiting or related experience. The Assistant Director will actively promote Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences by managing a recruitment territory, traveling to college fairs and high schools, and providing presentations on-campus and in the community. The Assistant Director will interview prospective students, review academic credentials, coordinate events, work with school counselors, and actively conduct outreach to achieve projected enrollment goals.


Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with the small private college environment; ability to work independently to actively manage an applicant pool; proven track record of achieving goals; high proficiency in technology; enthusiasm; ability to work in a team environment and the willingness and ability to work evenings/weekends.  A valid driver’s license is required.
