| Position Title: | Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Practice |
Position Description:
The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences ( www.acphs.edu ) is accepting applications from qualified candidates to join the college at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Multiple positions are available immediately. The successful candidates will be responsible for establishing a clinical practice to support the vision and mission of ACPHS at one of several available sites. Specialty areas include but are not limited to: cardiology, community pharmacy, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics, primary care and psychiatric pharmacy practice. Didactic teaching and service to the college are expected.
These positions are full-time, non-tenure (research program not required) or tenure-track, (research program required) appointments. Tenure-track applicants will have successful grant-writing experience, demonstrated research productivity and potential for scholarly productivity.
The successful candidates must possess a Pharm.D. degree, have completed a post-doctoral residency or fellowship or have equivalent clinical experience and be eligible for licensure in New York State . Qualified candidates will possess strong clinical practice and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently yet contribute to a team, good organizational skills and a clear understanding of experiential teaching.
ACPHS is a dynamic private institution located in the capital of New York State, with strong affiliations to several teaching hospitals (Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital and the Stratton Veteran's Affairs Medical Center), as well as surrounding educational institutions.
