Position Title: Professor, Health Care and Pharmacy Administration

Position Description:

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu) is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, 9.5 month, tenure /tenure-track faculty to join the Administration, Management and Economics (AME) group beginning July, 2010 at the rank of assistant or associate professor.   ACPHS is an independent institution with campuses in Albany, NY and Colchester, VT.  We are seeking an experienced academic who will contribute to teaching in our undergraduate, Pharm.D., and growing graduate degree programs in pharmacy administration and health outcomes research.  Ideal candidate would possess a pharmacy degree and Ph.D in a relevant discipline, however Pharm.D.’s with appropriate graduate or fellowship training or experience will be considered.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching administration type courses, a strong record of research productivity or evident research potential, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and the ability to mentor graduate students.  The successful candidate will be expected to build upon and complement the strengths of our existing faculty.  Examples of desirable teaching include (but are not limited to): pharmacy and health care marketing, pharmacy/health care management, pharmacy/health care finance, healthcare informatics, healthcare policy and practice, and research methods. There are also growing opportunities to work closely with research collaborators within the college, including the ACPHS Research Institute for Health Outcomes (www.acphs.edu/research-RIHO.html), and with other local / regional organizations.
