The Healthcare Management degree program jointly offered by Union Graduate College (UGC) and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences allows students to combine a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree with an M.B.A.
Students have the option of completing the program almost entirely online or taking courses in person at Union’s Schenectady campus.
The M.B.A. in Healthcare Management is a 17 course degree program. Three course requirements and several pre-requisite courses are met through "course substitutions." These are courses taken at ACPHS which may be used to waive course requirements in the MBA program.
Students typically begin taking M.B.A. courses in the spring of the P1 year. Most of the courses are offered online over ten week trimesters. This enables students to complete both degrees concurrently.
Students in the program typically take summer M.B.A. courses at UGC. The M.B.A. program also requires an administrative internship. Selected Pharm.D. practicums may be applied to the internship requirement.
Save Time and Money
The combined program significantly reduces the time and expense of obtaining the two degrees when compared to completing the programs independently.
