Assistant/Associate Professor of Regulatory Science
Position Description:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in Regulatory Science at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to create new graduate and undergraduate courses on regulatory policy and product development for drugs, biologics and medical devices and to contribute to the development of new academic programs in Regulatory Science. Candidates with the potential to develop an extramurally funded research program and train graduate and postdoctoral students in the pharmaceutical sciences are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely related discipline, at least two years of post-doctoral experience and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Industry or government experience in regulatory affairs is considered essential; experience with international regulatory policies for drugs, biologics and medical devices is also an asset.
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is a private college located in New York State’s Capital Region. The College is part of a vibrant and growing research community that offers opportunities for collaborative basic and translational research at the College affiliated Pharmaceutical Research Institute and Center for NanoPharmaceuticals, as well as neighboring research institutions including Albany Medical College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, State University of New York at Albany and Wadsworth Laboratories.
